I had a great day today. The picture above is Ingrams Bayou. I left this beautiful place this morning and began to travel East on the Gulf Inter Coastal Waterway. I have been in a mixture of environments today. I've been in Pensacola Bay, which was putting spray over the bow of my boat. I've been narrow waterways that were beautiful. The next picture is of the outer barrier islands between the waterway and the Gulf of Mexico. When I saw this stretch of sand I immediately thought of Cape Lookout National Seashore. I wanted to take the old truck and go surf fishing.
This is my first sight of the Gulf of Mexico. This is the inlet at Pensacola Bay.

As I was going down the waterway I felt like I had company. So I started looking around and when I looked outside there were a couple of Dolphin swimming along the side of the Pelican. The following pictures show them just playing with the boat.

Tonight I'm in Fort Walton Beach. I'm tied up at the city dock. The following pictures show what a quite and peaceful little city this is on the Gulf Inter Coastal Waterway. I walked into town and it is very clean and neat place. The people are very nice. I met a sail boater, he has a 30 Ft. Morgan, that rode a bicycle from Key West to Anchorage Alaska and back.

Tomorrow will be a little longer day as I'm hoping to make it to Panama City. I may stay there a day or two as the weather is turning bad and I can't get across the Gulf. Hopefully the end of this week will bring good weather for the Gulf Crossing.
Later,
Carl
